Angel Di Maria's Decision To Move To Manchester United Made His Wife Almost Commit Suicide: I Don't Like England At All, Everyone There Is Weird

JAKARTA - Angel Di Maria's decision to join Manchester United in the summer of 2014 actually made his wife Jorgelina Cardoso want to commit suicide. Jorgelina made the latest confession while appearing on the Argentine television show LAM.

He said he had never agreed to move to England since MU submitted a proposal. "Angel came to me one day and said, 'Look at this proposal from Manchester United'," said Jorgelina as reported by The Sun.

"I didn't want to go, I told him to go alone. 'Let's go alone', he replied. There was a lot of money there, more than Spain offered," he added.

Jorgelina further made an analogy that a worker will automatically leave the old company if a new company comes and offers double the salary.

However, for Jorgelina moving to England was a wrong decision. He told Di Maria that they could move anywhere except to England for some reason.

"I don't like England at all. I can tell you. Everyone there is weird. You walk around and you don't know if they're going to kill you," he said.

"The food is disgusting. The women look like porcelain. Angel and I are in Madrid, in the best team in the world, the food is perfect, the weather is perfect, everything is perfect."

She added, "I don't blame him for going there. It was horrible, so terrible. I just told him, 'Honey, I want to kill myself, it's two o'clock at night'."

Di Maria actually started well at Manchester United. He scored three goals and provided six assists during his first ten appearances in the Premier League.

However, a hamstring injury he suffered at the end of November stopped his momentum. Since then, he became a player who rarely played a role until the end of the season.

To make matters worse, the house owned by Di Maria was targeted by thieves in February 2015. He then left Old Trafford for Paris Saint-Germain and spent seven seasons there before joining Juventus this summer.
