Political Safari Ahead Of 2024, Chairman Of Golkar And Chairman Of PSI Lead To Meet

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto and Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Giring Ganesha met to discuss socio-political conditions ahead of the 2024 General Election.

"Some of the similarities between Golkar and PSI include staying away from identity politics and pushing to continue President Joko Widodo's program to bring Indonesia forward and prosper," said Airlangga at the Golkar Party office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 23.

Airlangga also mentioned that PSI and Golkar together with parties joined in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) had jointly registered on the same day for the verification of political parties at the KPU.

"The initial meeting of the two parties," he said.

Meanwhile, PSI General Chair Giring Ganesha said the meeting was part of PSI's political safari.

"This meeting provides a lot of insight for us young people," he said.

In addition, the figure of Airlanggata as Coordinating Minister for the Economy is very inspiring because Indonesia is a country with extraordinary economic growth.

"The most important similarity is how to continue President Joko Widodo's program," he emphasized.

PSI visited the office of the Golkar Party's DPP office in Orchid Nelly Jakarta on Tuesday night.

PSI DPP General Chair Giring Ganesha was accompanied by PSI Secretary General Dea Tunggaesti, PSI General Treasurer Suci Mayang Sari, and PSI DPP Chairperson Isyana Bagoes Oka.

The General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto was accompanied by Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Golkar Secretary General Lodewijk F. Paulus, Golkar General Treasurer Dito Ganinduto along with Golkar officials, such as Nurul Arifin and Putri Komarudin.
