Take Note, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery Premieres December 23 On Netflix
JAKARTA - The sequel to Knives Out directed by Rian Johnson, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will debut on Netflix on December 23. Along with the release date, Netflix shared a first look at the film, which stars Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc.
This time, Blanc travels to Greece and gets involved in the mystery alongside new characters played by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.
Last June 14, Netflix released an 18-second teaser video via social media. The video features a key surrounding the text. At the end of the video, it is revealed that the title of the sequel to Knives Out is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Glass Onion is still being directed by Ryan Johnson, who directed and wrote the script for Knives Out. Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc has also been confirmed for the sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, which aired on Monday, August 22, Johnson wrote and directed the sequel to Knives Out (2019), which earned him an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay. He produces with T-Street partner Ram Bergman.
Additionally, Netflix says it will be giving Glass Onion a theatrical release in select theaters, with more details to come at a later date. The film was previously announced to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.
The first Knives Out was released theatrically by Lionsgate and became a surprising hit as one of the rare original films to penetrate a market full of films based on intellectual property (IP) such as adaptations from comics, to remakes. Netflix acquired two Knives Out sequels for $469 million last year.
