Komnas HAM Says Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Twice Shoots Brigadier J
JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komas HAM) said Inspector General Ferdy Sambo had also shot Brigadier J twice. This was revealed based on the information of Bharada Richard Eliezer alias Bharada E.
"That's Bharada E's statement (say Ferdy Sambo shot twice, ed)," said Komnas HAM chairman Ahmad Taufan Damanik when confirmed, Saturday, August 20.
However, regarding Sambo's involvement in the shooting, it is said that it is only a confession. So, it still needs to be proven with evidence.
"It is the investigator's job to explore it again with strong evidence," he said.
Taufan also believes that there was more than one executioner who shot Brigadier J. This belief is based on the results of fact-finding that has been carried out.
"We believe that there is not one executioner, based on forensic and ballistic results. The task of the investigator is to find evidence of who the other executor is. According to Bharada E, yes, FS," he said.
Therefore, evidence is important. So, in court later all the facts will be fully revealed.
"Once again, remember that in court it will be very risky if only based on that information," said Taufan.
In the case of Brigadier J's murder, the team named five suspects. They were Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka RR, and Strong Maruf.
Most recently, the Timsus also named Putri Chandrawathi or the wife of Ferdy Sambo as suspects. They were charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
