PLN Provides Free Electricity Installation To 102 Houses In Lampung
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) provides free electricity connection assistance to 102 residents' houses that do not have their own electricity connection.
General Manager of the PLN Lampung Main Distribution Unit, I Gede Agung Sindu Putra, said that the installation of free electricity to 102 beneficiaries for underprivileged communities is one of PLN Peduli's programs. According to him, the PLN Peduli program is a form of PLN's social responsibility.
"In accordance with its mission, the presence of PLN in the midst of society can improve living standards and drive the economy, especially for the beneficiaries of this free electricity installation program," said Sindu in an official statement, Saturday, August 20.
A resident of Munjuk Sampurna Village, Kalianda, South Lampung Regency, Sumarno (50) is very grateful to PLN for providing free electricity connection assistance. The man who works as a farmer, admitted that so far he and his family had received lighting by asking for electricity from their neighbors.
Economic difficulties made him not have his own electric lighting in his house. In fact, Sumarno has long wanted electricity in his own home. The long wait has paid off, PLN is here to fulfill his dream.
"My family and I were greatly helped by getting free electricity installation assistance which would later be used to meet my family's lighting needs, once again I am very grateful to PLN," he said.
Likewise, Saniah, a 40-year-old housewife who lives in RT 09 Pulau Pasaran, Teluk Betung Timur, Bandar Lampung, expressed her gratitude because she and her family were one of the recipients of free electricity installation assistance from PLN.
"Before, I got electricity by channeling it from my parents' house, thank God I have received free electricity installation assistance from PLN, thank you PLN," he concluded.
