Pacitan Police Members Suspected Of Being Drug Traffickers To DPRD Members, Currently Detained At The East Java Regional Police
SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police immediately detained a member of the Pacitan Police Samapta with the initials Aiptu AW. AW is suspected of being a drug dealer against members of the Pacitan DPRD.
"The person in question is currently being held at the East Java Police Headquarters," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police Kombes Dirmanto, in Surabaya, Friday, August 19.
However, Dirmanto has not been able to convey the chronological details of the AW's arrest. Because, he said, investigators are currently still conducting an examination of AW.
"While it is still in the process of being examined. Further developments will be submitted later, including the chronology," he said.
Dirmanto only said that AW was arrested by the Drug Directorate Team of the East Java Police on Wednesday, August 10. From the hands of AW, found 571 grams of crystal methamphetamine ready for distribution.
"This is proof of the Police's commitment to clean up, anyone who abuses drugs will be arrested," he said.
According to information, the arrest of Aiptu AW is an extension of the arrest of a former member of the Ponorogo DPRD, Sutiyas Hadi Riyanto, at his home in Anyelir Housing, Mangkujayan, Ponorogo on August 10.
Sutiyas claimed to be a user and obtained a supply of methamphetamine from Aiptu AW.
"Investigators are still looking into it (also related to allegations of members of the local council)," said Dirmanto.
