Realize The Implementation Of Tri Dharma, University Of Indonesia In Cooperation With Bank BJB

JAKARTA - The University of Indonesia (UI) and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or BJB, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in research and sustainable finance programs for mutual progress and mutual benefit between institutions.

"UI strongly supports the policies carried out by Bank BJB in order to build the stability of the financial system and digital payment ecosystem in Indonesia," said UI Chancellor Ari Kuncoro as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 18.

Ari said, this collaboration is a form of implementing the implementation of Tri Dharma which is the main task for the academic community in supporting the vision, mission, and duties of the functions and authorities of Bank BJB in Indonesia.

In addition, banking digitalization and sustainable finance programs are a necessity. So that the urgency to conduct various researches and formulate policies to support these two things can be a priority for collaboration between UI and Bank BJB in the near future as the output of collaboration activities that have fast and measurable results (Quick Win).

He said that this strategic partnership is also expected to accelerate the collaborative efforts of the ABG triple helix (academics, business, and government), so that various research and future studies can become policy briefs and case studies (used cases) that are weighty and can help the Bank. BJB in realizing its vision and mission as the main platform for digital financial service providers.

In the joint agreement between UI and Bank BJB, it covers six areas, namely Education, Research, Community Service; Organizing Research Collaboration and Resource Development; Organizing Scientific Activities, Scientific Studies, Seminars, and Workshops; Human Resources Competency Training, Improvement and Development; Implementation of the Independent Learning Program for the Independent Campus; and other mutually agreed activities.

President Director of Bank BJB, Yuddy Renaldi said that this collaboration is a pride and joy for bank BJB and is in line with one of the missions of bank BJB, which is to contribute and participate as a driver and driver of the regional economy.

According to him, the signing of the memorandum of understanding certainly also marks a broader synergy between BJB and UI banks, where previously BJB bank also participated in several University of Indonesia activities, including UI Open Days and webinars on digitizing the ecosystem of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector. post-pandemic tourism.
