JAKARTA - A total of 106 houses of fire victims in Pasar Gembrong RW 01 Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, have been revitalized.

East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar said his party was continuing to pursue the target of revitalizing 138 houses for fire victims until September 2022.

"Our commitment is in the meeting, we have to carry it out, starting next week, I chair a meeting once a week, in order to accelerate," said Muhammad Anwar as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 17.

Anwar added that his party is also targeting the installation of facilities and infrastructure such as waterways, roads (asphalt), electricity, clean water, PJU (public street lighting), parks, WWTP (wastewater treatment installation), until the internet network has been completed in early September.

"We will both monitor what has been done, what has not been done," said Anwar.

The East Jakarta City Government began work on the revitalization of the Gembrong Market fire victims' settlements in early July 2022.

The settlement development, which is named Kampung Gembira Gembrong, carries the concept of developing a waterfront city.

Not only residential areas, but later also built open spaces that are child-friendly to the elderly (elderly).

A total of 138 houses of victims of the Gembrong Market fire were revitalized using funds from the Jakarta Baznas-Bazis with a budget of Rp7.8 billion.
