2 Rapists Of Deaf Girl In Nagan Raya Aceh Arrested

NAGAN RAYA - Two perpetrators of the rape of a deaf girl have been detained by investigators from the Nagan Raya Police Criminal Investigation Unit. They were charged with Article 48 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law.

"Our suspect was arrested after both of them were suspected of having committed the crime of rape," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, AKP Machfud, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, August 17.

The two suspects were previously detained by residents. They were then handed over to the police.

The two perpetrators who were detained had the initials MR and MA. Both are residents of Kuta Jeumpa Village, Jeumpa District, Southwest Aceh Regency.

AKP Machfud explained that the perpetrator was suspected of raping Bunga (not her real name) in a village in Nagan Raya Regency. The action is carried out by the perpetrators alternately.

Even though the victim tried to fight back, the two perpetrators still took action to snatch the victim's honor.

"Currently the victim is also being questioned by the PPA Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, which is guided by an interpreter," said AKP Machfud.
