4,642 Joint Forces Deployed To Secure MPR Annual Session Today

JAKARTA - A total of 4,642 joint personnel of the TNI, Polri, and the Transportation Service were deployed to secure the Annual Session of the MPR, DPR, and DPD at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta today, Tuesday, August 16.

"In my record, a total of 4,642 joint personnel, including the TNI, Polri, and the Transportation Service, will be deployed to carry out security activities this morning until the evening," said Central Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when leading the rally at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday 16 August.

Today, said Komarudin, there are three agendas that will take place, namely the State Speech in the morning, the State Budget Speech in the afternoon, and the Sacred Meditation in the evening.

When delivering his directions, Komarudin reminded all personnel to anticipate various possible disturbances that could disturb the smooth running of the state speech and the RAPBN.

"Anticipating various possible disturbances that will arise," said Komarudin, according to Antara.

The main focus of security is security from terror threats and other security threats.

Based on field observations, the access road in front of the Nusantara Building is guarded by a joint apparatus of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) and the DPR's Internal Security Officers (Pamdal) who have been on guard since Tuesday morning.

"Let's carry out our duties as well as possible," said Komarudin.

The MPR will hold the 2022 Annual Session in commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Nusantara Building, Jakarta.

In the series, the MPR Annual Session will be opened with the agenda of the President's Speech and the 2022 Joint Session of the DPR and DPD.

The President's speech was in the context of delivering government information on the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 along with financial notes at the opening plenary session of the First Session of the DPR for the 2022-2023 Session Year.
