Second Quarter Of 2022, J Trust Bank Earns Rp15.7 Billion Profit

JAKARTA - PT Bank J Trust Indonesia, Tbk (J Trust Bank) posted a net profit of Rp15.72 billion in the second quarter of 2022.

Previously, a bank controlled by J Trust Co. Ltd. recorded a net loss of Rp.295.53 billion.

This profit gain was supported by gross credit growth of 52.57 percent, to Rp. 15.28 trillion, and growth of customer deposits by 26.57 percent, to Rp. 20.18 trillion, in the position of June 2022 compared to December 2021.

"The increase in bank performance occurred in line with improving national economic conditions," said J Trust Bank President Director Ritsuo Fukadai in an official statement, Monday, August 15.

Selective credit expansion that prioritizes prudential principles and the growth of third party funds, especially low-cost funds, also boosted interest income by 52.22 percent to Rp723.66 billion and decreased interest expense by 3.29 percent to Rp450.03 billion.

The bank's capital position in June 2022 also remained strong with the company's core capital recorded at Rp2.15 trillion or above the minimum core capital requirement of Rp2 trillion.

The Bank's Minimum Capital Adequacy Ratio was recorded at 12.18 percent, while the Bank's Liquidity Adequacy Ratio was recorded at 144.01 percent in June 2022.

Currently, the bank continues to collaborate with business actors with good reputations in several sectors that are considered prospective, such as property, heavy equipment suppliers, multifinance and Rural Banks (BPR).

In line with this, in 2022, J Trust Bank will continue to focus on lending through the Corporate Banking, Commercial & Small Medium Enterprise, and Business Linkage segments, which are currently the mainstay of increasing the Bank's credit assets.

"With strong fundamental conditions, these various focuses will support the Bank in dealing with uncertainty and take advantage of business growth opportunities to continue to improve performance for the better in the future," concluded Ritsuo.
