JAKARTA - Secretary of the DPP Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Aziz Yanuar, said that the Jakarta Transportation Agency gave permission for his party to close Jalan KS Tubun, Petamburan, for the sake of holding the Prophet's birthday and the marriage of Muhammad Rizieq Shihab's daughter.
When he came to accompany the clarification process at Polda Metro Jaya from the head of the event committee, Haris Ubaidillah, Aziz brought a statement letter from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency supporting the road closure.
"For the road closure, the Transportation Agency's permission has also been issued. We only asked for one road closure. But, during the event, (road closure) we widened, previously closing one in two," said Aziz at Polda Metro Jaya, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 18. .
Based on the statement of the letter shown by Aziz, Head of the Central Jakarta Transportation Agency, Muhammad Soleh said that his party supported the road closure.

For information, the public is confused about the party responsible for giving permission to organize the Prophet's Birthday event in Petamburan, which has resulted in crowds and alleged violations of health protocols.
Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo revealed the fact that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has never given permission from FPI leader Muhammad Rizieq Shihab to hold a Prophet's birthday and marriages with a large number of masses.
"The DKI Provincial Government has never allowed it. Please pay attention. I repeat, the DKI government has never allowed a wedding reception held by Rizieq in Petamburan," said Doni, Sunday, November 15.
Doni said, Anies, through a letter issued by the Mayor of Central Jakarta, asked Rizieq to follow health protocols, including reducing the number of guests to a limit of 30 people attending the event.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, admitted that his party did not accept the request for permission to hold a crowd event related to the Prophet's birthday and weddings in Petamburan.
He said, all crowd permits were the responsibility of the police. "The permission for the crowd is not to the local government. The permit for the crowd is to the police. For the regional government, for example, they want to borrow Monas, you know," said Riza.
