Pelita Party And Congress Party Submit Documents, A Total Of 31 Political Parties List Of Candidates For The 2024 Election To KPU
JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) said that there were two political parties that registered with the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) on the 13th day of registration, namely the Pelita Party and the Congress Party.
"Today, two political parties have registered. The Pelita Party at 10.16 WIB and the Congress Party at 12.24 WIB," said KPU member Idham Holik as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, August 13.
Based on the results of the examination by the KPU team, said Idham, the documents for the two political parties were declared incomplete.
"We give the opportunity until the last registration period on Sunday at 23.59 WIB," he said.
There are also two other political parties that previously would register today, namely the Masyumi Party and Republican Party One, postponed their registration on Sunday (14/8).
"Specifically, the two political parties did not explain the reason. However, they only submitted a notice of rescheduling," said Idham.
Meanwhile, KPU member August Melasz said that up to the 13th day of registration, 31 political parties had registered as participants in the 2024 General Election.
Meanwhile, nine other political parties will register on the last day, Sunday (14/8).
Thus, he said, if 31 political parties and nine political parties will register tomorrow (14/8), 40 political parties have registered and will register.
August said there were still three political parties holding Political Party Information System (Sipol) accounts that had not confirmed registration as political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.
"The three political parties are the Reform Prosperous Peace Party, the Student Party, and the Village Awakening Movement Party," said August.
Previously, August explained that there was the addition of one political party that activated Sipol today, namely the Republican Work Party. Thus, a total of 43 political parties owning Sipol accounts.
Nine political parties that will register on the last day of registration on Sunday (14/8), namely the Republic One Party, the United Nations Party, the Republican Work Party, the Pandu Bangsa Party, the Indonesian Bhinneka Party, the Masyumi Party, the Peaceful Love of the Nation Party, the Sovereignty Party, and People's Party.
