JAKARTA - Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo appreciated the role of Air Force Women (Wara) in all lines of assignment, both domestically and abroad as peacekeepers.
"Over time, the role of female soldiers in the Indonesian Air Force organization has grown more and more diverse. Wara has played a direct role in all lines of assignment, both domestically and internationally, as a peacekeeping force," said Fadjar while leading Wara's 59th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony at the Ceremony Field of Headquarters, East Jakarta, Antara, Friday, August 12.
This role, he continued, is also proof that Wara are the heroes of the nation who have strong determination and courage. On the same occasion, Fadjar said that currently the Indonesian Air Force is trying to achieve a common goal, namely to transform into an Air Force that is respected in the region.
This shared goal, according to him, can be realized with the real participation of Wara, which is based on the spirit of Kanya Bhakti Sakti Sejati, namely female soldiers who devote themselves with expertise and expertise to protect the entire nation and maintain the sovereignty of the country and the sky of Indonesia.
"This noble motto is very appropriate as a basis in supporting the Indonesian Air Force to become a respected Air Force in the region," he said as quoted in a press release from the Air Force Information Service (Dispenau).
Wara's 59th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony was not only attended by Wara members, but also non-commissioned officers, enlisted men, and civil servants of the Indonesian Air Force in Jakarta.
In addition to the ceremony, there was also a celebration that began with the cutting of the cone by Inong Fadjar Prasetyo as Winayadhati Kanya Sena. The tumpeng pieces were then handed over to the representatives of the youngest Wara members and Wara retirees.
