Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Examined As Suspect At Mako Brimob, Investigate Roles To Order 31 Police Personnel

JAKARTA - The special team (timsus) of the National Police has begun to examine Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in the murder of Brigadier J. The investigation was carried out at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters Kelapa Dua, Depok.

"Today, the Special Team investigators conducted an examination of Inspector General FS as a suspect at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in his statement, Thursday, August 11.

This examination is the first time for Ferdy Sambo after being named a suspect.

Then, the Timsus also examined another suspect, Strong Maruf. The investigation is said to have taken place at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

With this series of examinations, said Dedi, his party will coordinate with the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM). This is because the agency plans to ask Inspector General Ferdy Sambo for information today.

"Then for Komnas HAM, because today there is an inspection by Inspector General FS as a suspect, the focus of the special team is to conduct an examination first. So that Inspector General FS cannot be examined by Komnas HAM, because the investigation by the special team of Polri is pro-justitia," said Dedi.

Meanwhile, the team has named four suspects. They included Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka Ricky, and Strong Maruf.

In this case, all suspects are suspected of Article 340 subsidiary 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Articles 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code.

Then, there were 31 Polri personnel who were declared to have violated the code of ethics in handling the case of Brigadier J's murder. In fact, 11 of them were placed in a special room.
