Against, The Tinombala Task Force Shoots Dead 2 DPO MIT Poso Enteres Palu
JAKARTA - Combined TNI-Polri officers from the Tinombala Task Force shot dead two suspects from the Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Search List (DPO), who had entered Palu City, Central Sulawesi.
Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Abdul Rakhman Baso said the two suspects were arrested in the Parigi Moutong Regency area, Central Sulawesi.
"The two DPOs with the initials W alias A alias B and AA alias A, and when they were arrested they resisted so that a measured decisive action was taken which resulted in the death of the two MIT members," said Inspector General Abdul Baso in Donggala, Tuesday, November 17.
He explained that the two suspects were arrested in Bolano Barat Village, Bolano District, Parigi Mountong Regency, on November 17, 2020 at around 05.30 WITA.
"The evidence was secured by revolvers, palm oil bombs, ammunition, GPS, compasses, headlights and a number of other equipment," he said.
The Regional Police Chief said that currently the two bodies are currently in the process of evacuating from the arresting location to the Bhayangkara Hospital, Palu.
As previously reported, the joint military-police apparatus conducted chases of two suspected DPOs from the MIT Poso group, in the fishing complex area, Mamboro Urban Village, Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Saturday, November 7.
The area is thought to have been a stopover for suspects who were included in the list of wanted people (DPO) for the MIT group in Poso, Central Sulawesi.
