Civil Youth Circle Holds Demo At KPK Asks Indodax To Be Audited

JAKARTA - Lingkar Pemuda Madani (LPM) asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to audit Indodax. This request was conveyed through a demonstration held at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Wednesday, August 10.

LPM Field Coordinator Afandi Tomagola said this audit should be carried out in relation to money laundering from the alleged corruption of Jiwasraya and Asabri. So, the KPK felt the need to step in.

"Indodax has also dealt with the issue of alleged money laundering from the Jiwasraya and Asabri mega corruption scandals which were handled by the AGO and this should be a concern for the KPK to supervise the scandal," Afandi said in his statement, Wednesday, August 10.

Not only that, there were a number of other urges that were conveyed by LPM. Among them are asking CoFTRA to revoke Indodax's license because it is considered to be building a crypto business ecosystem in an unhealthy manner.

"Oscar Darmawan as CEO of Indodax should have understood the monopoly. Why did the CEO who is known as a promoter of crypto assets in Indonesia actually injure the growing Indonesian crypto world," he said.

"Is it because there is a purely business element. Where is there a price match for listing a token with a fantastic value of billions," continued Afandi. LPM has submitted a complaint to the Dumas of the KPK so that it will be immediately handled by the KPK.

VOI has contacted Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan via WhatsApp message, Wednesday, August 10 to further confirm this statement from LPM.

However, until this news was published, Indodax had not responded further.
