Quick Response To Warganet's Criticism, Joko Anwar Installs Flash Warning In Servant Of Satan 2: Communion

JAKARTA - It hasn't been a week since the movie Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion has been shown in theaters. However, many netizens asked the production house to add a flash warning. What is it?

This started with a Cinefoxx Twitter account that created a petition. They asked Rapi Films to add light warnings in the film.

This petition was signed by 855 people and responded directly by Joko Anwar as the director.

"Thank you for reminding us, friends. Starting today, flash warnings will be installed in cinemas throughout Indonesia," Joko Anwar wrote on Tuesday, August 9.

Rapi Films also officially issued a Flash Warning. It is known that this film has several scenes with flash and strobe effects.

"This film uses flash and strobe effects that can cause relapse in people with photosensitive epilepsy." that's the statement Rapi Films.

This flash warning is given so that viewers who are sensitive to light can anticipate.

"This is true. Some of my friends feel really dizzy after watching it. Especially the scene towards the end," wrote one netizen.

"That's great, that's a good move, min, fortunately when I first watched it, it wasn't too bad, just glare," added another.

The Servant of Satan 2: Communion has been watched by more than 3 million people. This figure was obtained in 5 days of viewing and is predicted to continue to grow.

Servant of Satan 2: Communion is also available in IMAX format at XXI and SphereX at CGV.
