National Police Chief Announces Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Suspect In Brigadier J .'s Murder Case
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has named Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. The former Head of the National Police Propam Division was immediately arrested.
"Timsus has decided to name brother FS as a suspect," said National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at a press conference handling the case of Brigadier J's murder at the National Police Headquarters, Tuesday, August 9.
Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was previously placed in a special room at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Kelapa Dua, Depok on Saturday, August 6. Placement in a special room is decided by the Special Inspectorate (Irsus) in handling alleged violations of the code of ethics.
The National Police at that time said Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was suspected of being unprofessional in processing the crime scene (TKP) of the death of Brigadier J at the shelter of the former Head of the Propam Division.
It is suspected that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was involved in the destruction/disappearance of CCTV which became evidence in the case of Brigadier J.
The police previously named two suspects in the murder of Brigadier J, namely Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada E and Brigadier Ricky Rizal (Brigadier RR).
Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada E under the suspicion of Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
Then the second suspect, Brigadier Ricky Rizal or Brigadier RR, was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder) in conjunction with Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
Bharada E and Brigadier RR were the driver and aide to Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Chandrawathi.
