Busy Working As A BCL Manager Is The Reason For Using Drugs, MID Becomes A Suspect And Requests Rehabilitation
JAKARTA - Muhammad Ikhsan Doddyansyah was officially named a suspect in the case of psychotropic abuse by the West Jakarta Metro Police, Monday, August 8. In addition to the manager Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL), the police also arrested the manager's colleague with the initials R. Both have been named suspects.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce said the two had been named suspects. Both were found to have abused the psychotropic sedative alprazolam, which is a class 4 drug.
"We have named 2 people as suspects, the manager with the initials MID and his friend with the initials R for the abuse of psychotropic substances," Kombes Pasma told reporters, Monday, August 8.
In this case, both Muhammad Ikhsan Doddyansyah and his partner face a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 100 million based on Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 concerning psychotropics and Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
The West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head, AKBP Akmal, revealed that when he was arrested, the BCK manager was found in possession of 7 pills of the sedative alprazolam. Doddy admitted that he took the drug to support his daily activities as an artist manager.
"The motive is to use it to support daily activities as an artist manager which takes a lot of time and requires strong stamina. Brother Doddy has been taking psychotropic drugs since 2021," he explained.
Doddy's family has also applied for rehabilitation. "It has been submitted (for rehabilitation) from the lawyer and family," said AKBP Akmal, Monday, August 8.
However, AKBP Akmal said that his party was still waiting for the results of the assessment for a rehabilitation decision. "We are still waiting for the results of the assessment to determine whether the person involved is rehabilitated or what. We will inform you as soon as possible," he added.
