Police Confirmed BCL's Manager Arrested For Drugs

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police confirmed that the manager of singer Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) was arrested for drug abuse.

"I can confirm it, the manager of an artist in the Capital City on behalf of the artist Bunga Citra Lestari. The manager who was arrested was related to the abuse of narcotics," said Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan, quoting Antara, Friday, August 5.

Zulpan said BCL's manager was arrested along with another colleague in the South Jakarta area.

He added that both of them had been secured at the West Jakarta Metro Police for an examination of the drug abuse case.

"Investigators are still developing this case. Are there other parties involved, including those who gave the narcotics to them," said Zulpan.

However, Zulpan has not been able to provide further information regarding the drug case that ensnared BCL's manager.

He also could not say whether BCL would also be investigated regarding the development of the drug case that ensnared her manager.

"I don't think I can convey it. What is clear is the manager who is being secured. So don't misinterpret it," said Zulpan.

The West Jakarta Metro Police arrested a top artist manager with the initials MID because he was caught using methamphetamine.

"Yes, that's right, with the initials MID," said Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Akmal when confirmed in Jakarta.
