Happy To Be Part Of Real Madrid, Rodrygo Makes Luca Modric A Role Model On The Pitch

JAKARTA - Real Madrid's young striker, Rodrygo Goes said he was happy to be able to realize his big target of winning the Champions League in the 2021/2022 season. Rodrygo's achievements are supported by the discipline he exemplifies from his role model, Luca Modric.

Quoted from Marca, Thursday, 21-year-old Rodrygo said he was happy to be part of Los Blancos. That's because many top players are his role models.

For Rodrygo, from the many names of great players at Los Blancos, he paid attention to Modric, who was recognized as his role model on the field. Because, his development in the field can not be separated from the role and encouragement of Modric, who has even been considered a father figure.

"He really helped me and was a role model. Playing with him was a lot easier, given the quality he has. He's like a father to me," said Rodrygo.

Apart from being a role model for Modric, Rodrygo also praised the role of coach Carlo Ancelotti. He alludes to Don Carlo's stats being synonymous with wins for almost every team he has handled.

According to Rodrygo, the Italian tactician did an extraordinary job since he first joined. He remembered all his mentor's advice to them.

"The team continued to grow and develop throughout the season. We had some difficult moments, but in the end everything went well because of the role of (Carlo) Ancelotti behind him," said the Brazilian footballer.

Despite Rodrygo's words, the Los Blancos squad is currently preparing for an important duel in sight. Madrid will duel with Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2022 European Super Cup at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Finland, Thursday 11 August.
