Regarding The 'Graveyard' Of Jokowi's Bansos Rice In Depok, Was It Deliberately Buried Or Was It Damaged?

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is investigating the findings of a social assistance package (bansos) buried in the Depok area, West Java. The investigation will determine whether the rice was intentionally buried or damaged.

"The problem is, it is hoarding rice or damaged rice, and so on, we are still carrying out the investigation process," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Auliansyah Lubis to reporters, Wednesday, August 3.

Based on the results of the interim inspection, the JNE said the amount of rice buried was 3.4 tons.

However, there is information circulating that not only rice is buried. Instead, flour and eggs.

However, Auliansyah said that until now he had not found it. This matter will be investigated.

"We will also ask experts so that no problems will arise in the future. Is it just rice, or is there something else," said Auliansyah.

The presidential social assistance package was found in the Kampung Serab area, Sukmajaya, Depok, West Java, on Sunday, July 31.

The discovery of the presidential social assistance items for residents affected by COVID-19 buried in the ground was revealed after the heir of the land owner, Rudi Samin, carried out excavations using heavy equipment and was being handled by the Depok Police.

Based on the results of the examination of the JNE, the shipping company admitted that the rice found buried in the land was his act. The reason is that the rice has been damaged by the rain.

At least, the amount of rice found was 289 sacks or weighing 3,675 kilograms.
