Komnas HAM: No Witness About Harassment Of Wife Of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada E Only Hears Shouts

JAKARTA - Komnas HAM chairman Ahmad Taufan Damanik revealed that there were no witnesses to the alleged sexual harassment or threats of harassment experienced by the wife of the non-active Propam Head of Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi.

According to Taufan, of the seven aides and domestic helpers who were examined, two people heard the screams from Putri but did not see any allegations of abuse. The two people in question are Bharada E and Bripka Ricky.

"Allegations of abuse, for example, Ricky and Bharada E did not witness. He only heard screams from the mother, did not know why the screams occurred. It means that the only living witness is Ibu Putri," said Taufan at the Komnas HAM office, Tuesday, August 2.

Thus, Komnas HAM admitted that it was difficult to uncover the case of Brigadier J's death at the official residence of the former Head of the National Police Propam Division, Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo. This is because the information obtained by Komnas HAM from aides and household assistants is incomplete and lacks information richness.

"So we can't cross-check it until later we find various other materials, such as digital forensics on the communication between them. But while from the current information we can't conclude what actually happened. That's the most crucial problem," explained Taufan. .

Taufan said that from the examination of Ferdy Sambo's seven aides, there was one aide who claimed to have seen a shootout between Brigadier J and Bharada E. He was Brigadier Ricky. But unfortunately, said Taufan, Ricky did not see the incident in its entirety.

"Ricky himself only witnessed part of it. He did not witness the whole," he said.

As is known, the National Police stated that Brigadier J was shot dead by Bharada E at Ferdy Sambo's official residence in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, on Friday, July 8 2022, at around 17.00 WIB. Based on the information from the National Police, the shootout between the two police officers allegedly began with the harassment and stabbing of Brigadier J against Ferdy Sambo's wife.
