Two Mampang GOR Project Workers Killed By The Wall Of Responsibility Auction Winner

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency stated that the death of two workers at the Mampang Prapatan Sports Center (GOR) revitalization project was the responsibility of the auction winner according to a written document.

"In accordance with the coordination meeting prior to the unloading, we have repeatedly conveyed that we must comply with the RKS and applicable rules," said Head of the Infrastructure Section of the Jakarta Youth and Sports Service (Dispora), Fikri Hidayat, quoting Antara, Tuesday, August 2.

Fikri added that all risks of building revitalization, including the death of two construction workers and the damage to a car that was crushed by iron are the responsibility of the auction winner.

The program to demolish old buildings for new ones was carried out in four sub-districts, namely Mampang Prapatan, Tebet, Kebayoran Lama and Kebayoran Baru.

The demolition of the Mampang GOR was carried out by a third party who won the auction. Meanwhile, the auctioneer is carried out by the Directorate General of State Assets, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition, Fikri said, his party had requested that the executor of the demolition of the Mampang GOR carry out their obligations by giving the two construction workers the rights.

"We have asked the executor to carry out their obligations and give what is the right of the deceased," he said.

Previously, the police questioned six people in connection with the deaths of two workers at the Mampang Prapatan GOR revitalization project, Pela Mampang, South Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon, July 31.

"Six people are being investigated," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kanit) of the Mampang Prapatan Police, AKP Budi Laksono when contacted, Jakarta, Monday, August 1.

The six people examined were workers to the foreman who were witnesses in the incident. The case that killed two construction workers who fell from the second floor was handled by the Mampang Police.
