One Papuan Journalist Persecuted Arrested At Riau Bus Terminal
JAKARTA - After being on the run for several days, the East Jakarta Metro Police finally arrested one suspect in the murder of a former journalist with the initials AE in Riau. The suspect AE was arrested in front of the ALS bus counter.
Kramat Jati Police Chief, Kompol Tuti Aini confirmed the news of the arrest. Tuti said that one of the executioners who slashed the victim on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, was named Firdaus Parlindungan (45).
"Yes, the development of the suspect with the initials MRS (AE's son) who was first arrested, then expanded to Riau arrested the suspect AE. The suspects MRS and AE are the son and the father," Kompol Tuti told VOI, Monday, August 1.
When an arrest was made by a joint team from the East Jakarta Metro Police and the Kramat Jati Police, the suspect AE did not fight back. The suspect was then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Headquarters for further processing.
Meanwhile, according to the suspect's confession, AE, he admitted that he knew the victim's sister who lived in the same area as him (the perpetrator).
"I know the victim's sister. Yes (one neighborhood) the house is about 2 kilometers away," said AE to the police.
Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim managed to apprehend MRS (24), the perpetrator of the murder of Firdaus Parlindungan (45), a Papuan online media journalist who was found dead on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.
MRS was arrested at his hiding place on Jalan Caman Raya, Jati Kramat, Jati Asih, Bekasi, West Java.
The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit said the perpetrator did not accept being reprimanded by the victim while urinating. Not long after, the perpetrator returned to the victim with his father. The victim was beaten by MRS and his father to death.
As a result of the abuse, the victim suffered injuries from a sharp weapon on the back of the head and left ear behind and under the eye.
