Steal Company Cars, Employees In Tangerang Hide To Mother-in-law's House In Semarang

TANGERANG - A man with the initials MA (48) was arrested by the police after stealing a box car belonging to the company. Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Raden Romdhon Natakusuma said the incident occurred in Pasir Gadung Village, Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, Sunday, July 10.

The incident began when the victim, AY, brought the company car to rent. But the next day, the vehicle was gone.

"It is often taken home by a driver with the initials AY and parked in front of his rented house. The next day, AY saw the car had disappeared." said Raden in his statement seen by VOI, Monday, August 1.

After the incident, the victim reported to the Cikupa Police. Then on the basis of the report, the police moved quickly to investigate the case.

"As a result of this incident, the company suffered losses of up to Rp. 150 million," he said.

Subsequently, officers received information on the whereabouts of the suspect who was hiding in his father-in-law's hometown in Semarang, Central Java, Wednesday, July 27.

"The officers then immediately went to Semarang to arrest the suspect and then took him to the Tangerang Police," he said.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a threat of seven years in prison.

“The perpetrator was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Then the officers are still looking for the whereabouts of the vehicle which according to the suspect's confession has been sold," he concluded
