Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Sure To Print 4.4 Million Jobs In 2024
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno believes it can create at least 4.4 million jobs. The figure he claims is only from the sector he leads, the tourism sector and the creative economy.
The number of 4.4 million jobs is believed to be achieved in 2024. Meanwhile, for 2022, at least 1.1 million new jobs will be created.
"In 2022, we will create 1.1 million new jobs, and 4.4 million in 2024, all from the tourism sector and the creative economy. We hope that the fashion in Budo Village that is being developed, namely mangrove batik can be a mainstay," he said. Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno in his statement, Saturday, July 30.
He made the statement during his visit to Budo Tourism Village, located in Wori District, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi.
Sandiaga Uno made the visit in the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) event. On the same occasion, Sandiaga Uno also explained that fashion products have contributed billions of dollars in export potential.
"As we know, fashion contributes more than USD 21.8 billion and fashion dominates in terms of exports. It would be nice if Budo Tourism Village also developed this motif and at one time contributed to increasing employment," said Sandiaga Uno.
