JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Relations Section (Kasi) of the Serang Police, Iptu Dedi Jumhaedi, said the discovery of the body in the sack was known to be a woman aged 25-30 years and a height of about 157 centimeters (cm).
"Slightly fat stature and a distended stomach, shoulder-length straight black hair. On the right and left legs there are black scars that have healed," said Iptu Dedi Jumhaedi to reporters, Saturday, July 30.
Currently, the victim's body is in the Bhayangkara Banten Hospital for autopsy purposes.
The victim's body has also been identified by a team of forensic doctors at Bhayangkara Hospital.
"No identity card was found on the victim. The victim was wearing a red sleeveless shirt and dark blue trousers," he said.
The police secured evidence in the form of yellow ropes, rubber tires, raffia, and floral pillows.
"One black towel, one gray Levis shorts, Good Speed on the back pocket were confiscated," he added.
So far, according to the Serang Police, no family member has reported it to the police station.
"Residents who feel they have lost a family member and know information about the body's findings can contact the call center 110 and social media platforms for the Banten Police and Serang Police," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a body in a sack was found in a roadside garbage dump in the Jinjing area RT017/RW003, Crukcuk Village, Tanara District, Serang Regency, Saturday, July 30.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police, AKP Dedi Mirza, said investigators had conducted initial interrogation of three witnesses who knew about the initial discovery of the body.
"The body cannot be identified and the gender is unknown because it is wrapped in a white sack," AKP Dedi told reporters, Saturday, June 30.
Although the crime scene has been processed, the victim's body has not been identified by the police.
For further processing, the victim's body was taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy.
"To find out the profile of the victim and the cause of death, investigators have brought the body to Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy," he said.
