In Front Of Gus Yahya, Governor Sutarmidji Invites NU Synergy To Build West Kalimantan And Directions In Religion

PONTIANAK - The Governor of West Kalimantan, Sutarmidji, invited the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) family to work together to build West Kalimantan Province.

"As governor, I invite all of us, especially the big NU family, to work together to build West Kalimantan. Let's work together and I am ready to synergize with anyone," he said during the West Kalimantan NU Region VIII Conference in Pontianak, Antara, Friday, July 29.

In the opening of the VIII NU West Kalimantan Conference, the Chairperson of the NU Executive Board, KH. Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya. Participants of the VIII NU West Kalimantan Conference were attended by PCNU from 14 districts or cities in West Kalimantan Province.

NU is a large organization and its cadres are also in line, so it is expected to be a guide or direction in religion, society, nation and state.

"This province is heterogeneous both in terms of ethnicity and religion. It needs to make us to be together in various ways," he said.

On that occasion, he hoped that the West Kalimantan NU VIII Regional Conference would give birth to the best West Kalimantan PWNU Chairman.

"I also hope that with the presence of the new PWNU West Kalimantan Chairperson, we can present a permanent secretariat," he explained.

In order to present a permanent PWNU West Kalimantan secretariat, he promised to be ready to support and help.

"I promise to be ready to help for the permanent secretariat of the West Kalimantan PWNU. This is so that it doesn't move again, change the chairman, don't change the secretariat," he said.
