Meeting Students Of SMKN 1 Bawang Banjarnegara, Ganjar Pranowo Teaches Disaster Alert Titen Science

BANAJRNEGARA - Banjarnegara Regency is one of the areas prone to landslides in Central Java. Governor Ganjar Pranowo continues to teach the science of titen from local wisdom, as a form of mitigating natural disasters in Banjarnegara.

“The science of Titen is actually more about local wisdom. Hopefully, they can practice it with past experiences," said Ganjar during a disaster education activity for students in the hall of SMKN 1 Bawang, Banjarnegara, Tuesday, 21

Meanwhile, the Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Banjarnegara Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Andri Sulistyo, said that in his area there were 99 high disaster-prone villages.

"Almost more than 70 percent, we are prone to disasters, especially landslides, volcanoes and toxic gases," said Andri at the location.

In its territory, there is one village that has practiced the science of titen, namely Gumelem Kulon Village, Susukan District, Banjarnegara.

"They don't live in groups, on cliffs, in units, yes. So if it has been raining for two or three days, this family usually flees to the bottom (safe area), a safe relative who does not live on the slopes. So that's the science of titen," he explained.
