Cooperating With Bonge, Baim Wong Admits He Was Wrong To Want To Register Citayam Fashion Week's Intellectual Property Rights
JAKARTA - Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven think that becoming a Citayam Fashion Week phenomenon is something serious. As a result, they immediately registered Citayam Fashion Week as intellectual property at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights through PT Tiger Wong Entertainment.
Together with Bonge, Baim held a press conference to confirm that the IPR application was actually submitted to Bonge's knowledge. He wants to make an event so that his IPR needs to be taken care of.
"If I want to take it ambitiously, it's impossible. I asked Bonge's permission to do that. At 9 I whatsapp him and I tell him my plan. As simple as I ask, who has it?” Baim Wong explained.
“If anyone has one, I would like to ask permission to make a CFW. Because there are already such large numbers, the government or public figures must have a role in raising it, not just being a movement," he added.
Fashion Week is a momentum in the fashion world. Not only in Indonesia, fashion week has become an annual event in several countries. Seeing this, Baim Wong thought of making an event bigger than Jakarta Fashion Week.
“It's very rare for middle and lower class people to enjoy fashion and suddenly we're enjoying all kinds of people in one place. It's as simple as let's make it," he said.
Baim Wong admitted that he was wrong when registering IP Citayam Fashion Week and became a controversy. Many think he is deliberately taking advantage of this phenomenon.
"My mistake was that the communication was not clear to you, even before I took the IP, I talked to Bonge first," said Baim Wong.
“I was a bit sad when I read that I was taking advantage of the rich and the poor because it was so far from what I thought. But again, it's not all their fault because the information for them is incomplete," added Baim Wong.
