DIY DPRD Hopes Corruption Suspects At The Mandala Krida Stadium At The KPK Will Not Increase
YOGYAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Huda Tri Yudiana, hopes that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will not increase the number of suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction project of the Mandala Krida Stadium in Yogyakarta.
"I think it's the KPK that is working, yes, but I personally hope that it will just stop there. It doesn't matter, it means that there have been no violations by others," Huda said as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 25.
Huda supports the KPK in investigating the case and hopes that the three people who have been named as suspects, including one of them, a former state civil servant (ASN) within the Yogyakarta Regional Government, can be processed according to applicable law.
"Those who have become suspects, we support the KPK's efforts to be able to enforce the law related to this case properly," he said.
Huda hopes that the alleged corruption case of the Mandala Krida Stadium Project, including the apartment bribery case, which dragged former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti some time ago, became the last one in DIY.
"I think it's very concerning, yes, but this is actually personal, meaning an individual, not systemic. Systemically, DIY is the best," he said.
He asked that corruption cases in the procurement of goods and services such as those that occurred at the Mandala Krida Stadium would not be repeated so that the supervision of every strategic development project in DIY was strengthened.
"I think all parties (strengthening supervision), yes, from the Inspectorate, yes, from officials above it, and from us too," he said.
Huda ensured that in the future the DIY DPRD would specifically summon relevant officials to ensure that every strategic project that was to be carried out was carried out according to the rules.
"According to the rules, there should be no games that make one party win, which actually does not meet the requirements, let alone there is some kind of corruption," he said.
Meanwhile, Jogja Corruption Watch (JCW) researcher Baharuddin Kamba encouraged the KPK to investigate other parties who could potentially be involved or receive funds from the alleged corruption case for the renovation of Yogyakarta's Mandala Krida Stadium, which allegedly cost the state Rp31.7 billion.
"A simple question that should be easy for the KPK to answer is if EW, who at that time served as PPK (Commitment Making Officer) was named a suspect in the alleged renovation of Yogyakarta's Mandala Krida Stadium, then the official who at that time served as the Budget User Authority (KPA) would it be? is not touched by the law in this case?," said Kamba.
Previously, the KPK named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction work of the Mandala Krida Stadium with the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Government, namely the former Head of the Special Education Division of the Yogyakarta Education, Youth and Sports Office as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Edy Wahyudi (EW). , Sugiharto (SGH) as President Director (Director) of PT Arsigraphi (AG), and Heri Sukamto (HS) as President Director of PT Permata Nirwana Nusantara (PNN) and Director of PT Duta Mas Indah (DMI).
The KPK suspects that the project, which was financed using the 2016-2017 APBD, resulted in state financial losses of around Rp. 31.7 billion.
