Servant Of Satan 2 Is The First Indonesian Film To Be Shown On IMAX, This Is The Difference From Ordinary Cinemas
JAKARTA - The film Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion is the first film from Indonesia and Southeast Asia to undergo a digital remastering process using IMAX technology. Director Joko Anwar wanted to give a different impression when watching horror films.
"We want to give something more to the audience. We want to step up the game. It's not just a horror film that we show in ordinary cinemas," said Joko Anwar when met at Gandaria City XXI, Monday, July 25.
"We also want to give it a more cinematic experience. And that more experience is in a form of spectacle with a format that is more than just an ordinary cinema," he added, quoted from ANTARA.
On the other hand, Vice President of Theater Sales India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand IMAX Preetham Daniel said that the reason he chose Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion was because the film was recognized as having high quality.
"The film "Servant of Satan 2: Communion" is a film with strong IP and has a high technical quality," said Preetham.
With IMAX screens, viewers can experience viewing with a wider screen coverage and richer color spectrum. In addition, next-generation precision sound will also create the largest audio evenly in all corners of the room so that the audience can experience a sharper sound.
The film Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion again features players from the first season of Servant of Satan, namely Tara Basro, Bront Palarae, Endy Arfian, Nasar Anuz, Egi Fedly, and Ayu Laksmi. In addition, there will also be new players such as Muzakki Ramdhan, Fatih Unru, Ratu Felisha, Jourdy Pranata, Kiki Narendra, Nafiza Fatia Rani and Iqbal Sulaiman.
