Wearing Prison Clothes, This Is The Confession Of The Child's Mother And Her Boyfriend Who Tortured The Victim To Bruises And Broken Legs
DENPASAR - The police have named Yohanes Paulus Manek Putra alias Tedy (39) and Dwi Novita Putri (33), as suspects in the case of violence against a toddler with the initials NY (4) who were found abandoned with broken legs and bruises.
The suspect, Yohanes, the girlfriend of the victim's mother, Dwi Novita Putri, apparently beat her so that the victim broke her leg. The perpetrator also abandoned this child.
"The suspect took the victim and left her in front of the massage kiosk in a condition where the victim was weak, injured and had a broken leg," said Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, at the Denpasar Police Headquarters, Bali, Friday, July 22.
The perpetrator, Yohanes, said he was upset because the victim didn't sleep until late at night. Torture was also carried out.
"Initially, because of emotions and the child didn't sleep at night. When I gave the punishment to run, I accidentally bent his leg and broke it. I was upset because I saw he didn't sleep at 12 at night," said Yohanes.
After learning that the victim's leg was broken, the perpetrator took the victim to Jalan Bedugul, South Denpasar and abandoned her. The victim was later found by local residents.
"After finding the fracture, the perpetrator panicked and abandoned him in front of the kiosk. The next morning, he was searched for and informed the victim's mother that the person concerned is sick and is being treated," said Kombes Bambang.
Meanwhile, the victim's mother admitted that she did not dare to run into her boyfriend when the victim was abused.
"If I defend my son, he (John) will be beaten even more. So I can only stay silent and even if I defend myself I will also be scolded. You better shut up," said Noivta
It is also known that the perpetrator Yohanes once immersed the victim in a bucket until the body was face down. The victim was also slammed into the bed.
The next perpetrator asked the victim to push up. The victim's hair was grabbed and another form of abuse was the victim being asked to fold her right and left legs behind her back.
"The suspect (John) has done violence to the victim three times and finally broke the victim's leg," said Kombes Bambang.
The two suspects were charged with violence and neglect of children as regulated in Article 76 C in conjunction with Article 80 and Article 76 B in conjunction with Article 77 B of the Child Protection Law.
