Apart From Suboptimal Performance, PDIP Values No Effect Bambang Widjojanto Leaves Jakarta TGUPP Corruption Prevention Team
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, assessed that the exit of Bambang Widjojanto in the structure of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) of DKI had no effect on the team's performance.
Bambang was appointed by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as Chairman of the DKI TGUPP Corruption Prevention Committee. According to Gembong, whether there is Bambang or not, efforts to prevent corruption in Jakarta have not yielded maximum results.
"Now what is the effort to prevent corruption in DKI Jakarta Province? Maximum corruption prevention or not? Is there still corruption or not? Still there," said Gembong when contacted by VOI, Thursday, July 21.
Gembong stated that while Bambang was in TGUPP, the evidence was that corruption cases were still happening. He cited the case of the land mafia in Munjul, East Jakarta, which was carried out by the former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory C. Pinontoan.
In addition, the former Head of the Land Unit of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Forestry Service was also named a suspect in the land mafia case in Cipayung, East Jakarta.
"When the corruption prevention team (TGUPP) is at City Hall, there is no maximum result. In fact, there are still many incidents related to legal cases," said Gembong.
Previously, Bambang Widjojanto admitted that he had resigned as a member of the DKI Jakarta TGUPP. Bambang admitted that his decision to withdraw from Anies' special team was to avoid conflicts of interest that could potentially arise from the case he was handling.
"I should not be active and step down to focus more on pretrial and minimize potential conflicts of interest," said Bambang.
For information, Mardani Maming filed a pretrial application after he was named a suspect for alleged bribery and gratification in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan.
The General Treasurer of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board appointed members of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) DKI Jakarta Bambang Widjojanto and former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham) Denny Indrayana as legal counsel.
