11,588 Pilgrims Arrive In Indonesia On Day 4 Of Indonesian Hajj Return
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) reported that as many as 11,588 regular hajj pilgrims arrived in Indonesia on the fourth day of the first phase of the return phase.
"Regular pilgrims who have arrived in the country as many as 11,588 people and special pilgrims as many as 1,759 people," said Head of the Public Relations, Data and Information Bureau, Akhmad Fauzin at a press conference on the implementation of the Hajj which was attended virtually from Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday. Akhmad said that the return of the first batch of pilgrims will last until July 29, 2022. On Tuesday, July 19, there will be seven flying groups (kloters) that will return to five debarkations.
The five debarkations were three groups going to the Jakarta-Pondok Gede debarkation (1,195) people and one group each heading to the Jakarta-Bekasi Debarkation (409 people), Solo (360 people), Padang (393 people), and Surabaya (448 people). ).
There are 113 people who are sick and being treated so far. This number consists of 26 people being treated at the Saudi Arabian Hospital and 87 others being treated at KKHI Mecca.
Two more people died, in the names of Ali Muksin Abdul Latif from the Surabaya Embarkation and Seniyah Mukhidin Tirtamanggala from the Solo Embarkation.
"So, a total of 61 people have died so far," said Fauzin.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Head of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) Arsad Hidayat said pilgrims were only allowed to bring three bags on the flight back to the country.
"We explained that when they returned home, pilgrims were only allowed to bring luggage, handbags and passport bags. A maximum of 32 kg of luggage and a maximum of seven kg of hand bags, and a passport bag," said Arsad.
Arsad said he would continue to disseminate information to officials in Mecca and Medina to convey to the congregation that only three bags were allowed.
