Reluctant To Comment On Prices Of Basic Materials When Visiting Jagasatru Market Cirebon, Trade Minister Zulhas: Not From Me, Just Write What Is In The Field

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan continues the 'blusukan' program to several markets. This time, the Minister who is familiarly called Zulhas visited Jagasatru Market, Cirebon City, West Java.

As in previous visits to several markets, Zulhas returned to buying up merchandise and directly giving them to local residents who were shopping. When he first entered the Traditional Main Market, the Minister of Trade immediately had a dialogue with traders and the community.

"How much does it cost (cabbage) for a kilo," said Trade Minister Zulhas, quoted by Antara, Sunday, July 17.

Then the merchant replied, the price had dropped, per kilogram was only Rp. 5 thousand, then the Minister of Trade Zulhas offered the vegetables to residents who were shopping. The offer was enthusiastically welcomed by residents who were shopping for basic needs.

The Minister of Trade then gave some money to the seller, and the vegetables were immediately distributed to residents around the kiosk. The wholesale action of sellers at Jagasatru Market, Cirebon City by the Minister of Trade Zulhas, did not stop there.

While reviewing several other stalls such as chili, shallots, tempeh, and bulk cooking oil, the Trade Minister also bought up their wares, and then distributed them to the residents. "Alhamdulillah, sustenance," said a mother who received a kilogram of red onions from the Minister of Trade.

After conducting a visit to Jagasatru Market, Cirebon City, Trade Minister Zulhas did not comment too much, even when asked about his visit, he only answered what was necessary.

"Don't write it from me, what is in the field, follow it, that's what was written. How much is the price of chili, how much oil, ups and downs can be seen, so it is what it is," he said.
