DLHK Denpasar Handles Posted Garbage On Sanur Beach

DENPASAR - The Department of Environment and Hygiene (DLHK) of Denpasar City, Bali has taken quick steps to handle shipping waste in the Sanur Beach area, to ensure that the beach area can be cleaned again.

"Attention to the sent waste will continue to be optimized from the Biaung to Mertasari Beach area, considering that Sanur is a tourism area," said Denpasar City DLHK Head Ida Bagus Putra Wirabawa, Friday, July 15.

As an annual cycle, currently the wind blows from east to west, so Sanur Beach gets shipped garbage. Posted waste is dominated by algae, plastic waste and other types of waste.

"In handling it, of course we pay attention to the tides of sea water. In the next few days the team will continue to be alerted, so that Sanur Beach as a tourist destination can continue to be enjoyed," he said.

Based on the cleaning carried out by the Denpasar DLHK team on Friday (15/7), as many as 25 cubic meters of shipped waste have been successfully handled.

"As long as there is still garbage shipped, the handling will continue to be carried out," said the man who is familiarly called Gustra.

He also again appealed to the people in the capital city of Bali Province not to litter because this causes the waterways to become dirty and lead to the beach.

"We urge the community to jointly protect the environment, by not littering. Thus, when the wind direction changes, it does not pollute the beach," added Gustra.
