The Perpetrator Of The Yatamo Paniai District Office Arson Was Detected, Brought 5 Liters Of Gasoline And Then Shouted 'Why Wasn't I Appointed?'

JAYAPURA - Paniai District Police, Papua, has pocketed the identity of the perpetrator of the arson of the Yatamo District office, Paniai Regency.

The Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, SH, confirmed that the Paniai Police were looking for the perpetrators.

"From a report from a member of the public, it is known that the arsonist with the initials AY (37) who works as a farmer," said Kombes Kamal, quoted from a written statement, Thursday, July 14.

According to the head of the Yatamo District, the perpetrator on Wednesday, July 13 afternoon, came to Epouto village carrying gasoline in a 5 liter jerry can.

"Then the perpetrator scolded the witnesses (honorary Yatamo District) who were at the location by saying 'why wasn't I appointed as the head of Wotai Village'," continued Kombes Kamal.

From there, the perpetrator immediately set fire to the district office. There were no casualties due to the burning of the Yatamo district office

"The perpetrator doused the district office building with gasoline and set it on fire," said Kombes Kamal.
