Ahead Of The G20 Summit, Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Beautifies Terminal Facilities
BADUNG - Ahead of the G20 Summit, PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, is revitalizing and beautifying a number of its facilities in order to support the G20 which will be held in November 2022.
The revitalization was carried out in the arrival area of the international terminal, the domestic terminal area and the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), and the Existing VVIP building.
General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan, said that the progress of the revitalization and beautification work at the airport that had been completed reached 23.75 percent.
"So there is a positive deviation of 2.1 percent or faster than the previously set job target," he said, Wednesday, July 13.
"For the overall performance progress of the revitalization and beautification work, it can be said that it has reached 43.6 percent. Thus, we are optimistic that this work can be completed in October," he added.
The revitalization and beautification work of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport began on March 25 and is planned to be completed on October 20, with PT Angkasa Pura Properti as the executor of the work.
As for work at the international terminal, including replacing carpet floors with vinyl floors, adding rattan ornaments to columns or building pillars, as well as adding Balinese-inspired artwork.
"As for the Existing VVIP Building, we will beautify and renew it by adjusting the new VVIP Building which is being worked on by the Ministry of PUPR," he added.
The revitalization and beautification of the terminal was directly reviewed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy, and the governor of Bali some time ago.
"We thank all parties who contributed to the success of this work and we ask for the support of the entire community so that the revitalization and beautification of the terminal can run smoothly," he said.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Properti, Ristiyanto Eko Wibowo said, apart from the international terminal, PT Angkasa Pura Properti also carried out beautification at the domestic terminal, the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) building as a whole.
"We as a subsidiary entrusted by PT Angkasa Pura I will continue to strive optimally to complete all work prior to the implementation of the G20 Presidency, so that the work is completed on time and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is ready to welcome the G20 Presidency delegation with the nuances of Indonesia and Bali as hosts. home," he said.
