Mahfud MD Concerning The Possible Deactivation Of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Regarding The Police Shooting Case The National Police Chief Will Definitely Wait For Team Findings
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD said National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo would wait for the findings of the team he formed to determine the fate of the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
He conveyed this statement in response to the police shooting case that occurred at Ferdy Sambo's halfway house at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, Pancoran, South Jakarta last week.
"It depends on the preliminary findings from the team. The National Police Chief will definitely wait for it," Mahfud told reporters in his written statement, Wednesday, July 13.
"The National Police Chief must have waited for it to deactivate or not deactivate Ferdy Sambo," continued the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK).
Mahfud emphasized that the shooting case that dragged the name of Ferdy Sambo must be resolved. The reason is that the credibility of the Bhayangkara Corps and the government is at stake.
Moreover, recently, the Police have always received positive reviews from the public from various survey institutions. "The credibility of the Police and the government is at stake in this case," he said.
Previously, the special team of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, had started working on the case of Brigadier J's death due to a shootout with Bharada E at the shelter for the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. The search for evidence and clues was carried out.
"The special team has been working and when it is finished we will inform you," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Wednesday, July 13.
However, the details of the initial steps taken by the special team in handling the case were not given in detail. So far, Ramadhan has only emphasized that the Police will be committed to resolving the case.
