National Police: Brigadier J Tried To Harass The Wife Of The Propam Head Of Division During Rest

JAKARTA - The National Police said Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias J tried to harass the wife of the Head of the Propam Division. The action begins by entering the room when the two-star general's wife is resting.

"The incident occurred when Brigadier J entered the private room of the Propam Kadiv where the Propam Head's wife was resting," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, July 12.

Not only trying to harass him, Brigadier J also pointed a gun at the head of the Propam Head's wife with a gun.

Luckily, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo suddenly shouted. Thus, it attracted the attention of Bharada E who was in the house.

"Suddenly when the head of the Propam Division screamed, and shouted for help due to the screams, Brigadier J panicked and left the room," he said.

At this time, Bharada who approached the source of the shriek saw Brigadier J right in front of the room. Then, he asked what happened.

However, the question was answered with a shot. Until finally a shootout occurred and Brigadier J died on the spot.

"As a result of the shooting, there was an exchange of gunfire. This resulted in Brigadier J's death," said Ramadhan.

Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabara was shot dead by another police officer, Bharada E, on Friday, July 8. The shooting was said to have taken place at the house of the Head of the Propam Division of the National Police, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta.
