The Deputy Governor Of DKI Asks The Mayor Of East Jakarta To Immediately Bring Order To The Mount Antang Location
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta City Government together with PT Kereta Api Indonesia plan to control the building which is the localization of prostitution in Gunung Antang, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
However, until now the demolition of the building has not been carried out. Therefore, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar to immediately carry out the order.
"Our ranks, the mayor, sub-district head, village head, Satpol PP, and all of them, apart from anticipating prevention, will also bring order. Later we will leave it to the Mayor and his staff to control wherever there are immoral activities that are not good," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, July 11.
Riza emphasized that the control of the Gunung Antang localization area had complied with the rules. Because the activities there clearly violate immoral norms.
"Of course, activities that violate, especially immoral, are not allowed in the city of Jakarta," he said.
For information, the existence of the Gunung Antang localization beside Matraman Station has been around for a long time. Residents of RW 01 Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta complained about the existence of Gunung Antang prostitution localization.
The complaint was made after a series of attacks by thugs from the Gunung Antang localization group on residential areas using sharp weapons and firearms.
As the land owner, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) plans to demolish the Gunung Antang prostitution building in Matraman District, East Jakarta in July.
A number of illegal buildings will be made public facilities, one of which is green open space (RTH). Currently, PT KAI is still coordinating with the East Jakarta City Government regarding the plan to control or demolish the Gunung Antang localization.
Currently, the occupants of the building in the Gunung Antang localization have received a notification letter for the demolition of around 100 illegal buildings in the form of cafes and illegal huts by PT KAI. However, there is no certainty about when the control of the building will be carried out.
