Regarding The Substitute For Lili Pintauli Siregar, The KPK Council: It's In President Jokowi's Hands
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean said that the replacement for Lili Pintauli Siregar as Deputy Chair of the KPK is in the hands of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This is in accordance with the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019.
"It is in the hands of the president, Article 32 of Law 19 of 2019 is regulated," Tumpak said at a press conference after the ethics session at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, July 11.
Even so, continued Tumpak, Jokowi must first convey this name to Commission III of the DPR RI. The names proposed were taken from five leadership candidates who failed to be elected in September 2019.
"The amount? It's up to him to be submitted to the DPR," he said.
The following are the names of the candidates for leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) candidates who were not elected in 2019:
1. I Nyoman Wara (BPK)
2. Johanis Tanak (Prosecutor)
3. Luthfi Jayadi Kurniawan (Lecturer)
4. Roby Arya (PNS Ministry of Cabinet Secretariat)
5. Sigit Danang Joyo (PNS Ministry of Finance)
Lili submitted her resignation to President Jokowi since June 30. This was done in the midst of an investigation into the alleged ethical violation he had committed.
He was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board for allegedly receiving accommodation and Mandalika MotoGP tickets from PT Pertamina (Persero).
Regarding the resignation, President Jokowi has issued Presidential Decree No. 71/P/2022 concerning the Dismissal of KPK Leaders.
After this Presidential Decree was signed and a copy received by the KPK Council, the ethics trial for Lili's alleged violation was declared invalid. The reason is that he is no longer a member of the KPK.
