Bareskrim Checks General Affairs Chief Of Staff Regarding Building Fire
JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri investigators summoned Karo Umum at the Attorney General's Office for questioning as a witness in the fire case at the Attorney General's Office Building.
"Today (Wednesday, November 4) examined the AGO General Karo during the 2019 Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) procurement," said the Director of the Directorate of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Ferdy Sambo, to reporters, Wednesday, November 4.
There is a strong suspicion that he will be asked for information regarding the procurement of the Aluminum Composit Panel. This is because this item was one of the triggers for the AGO Building fire.
In addition, investigators will also examine the President Director of the company who won the 2019 ACP procurement tender and procurement consultant.
"There are three parties that we will examine today," he said.
Furthermore, Ferdy also said that investigators had completed examinations of MAI and SW. They are the borrowers of the PT APM flag to become equipment suppliers at the Attorney General's Office.
"Based on the results of the investigation of suspect R, the two witnesses borrowed the PT APM flag," said Ferdy.
As for the fire case, the National Police named 8 suspects. 5 of them are construction workers with the initials T, H, S, K, and IS. They were named suspects for violating the no smoking rule in the personnel bureau hall.
While the other 3 namely, UAM as the foreman, R who is the Director of PT APM and the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Attorney General's Office, NH.
The determination of the suspect against UAM was reasoned because they did not supervise the five masons while they were working. Meanwhile, R and NH were named as suspects for making an agreement to use a top cleaner cleaning fluid which is said to accelerate the combustion process.
The suspects were charged under Article 188 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 5 years in prison.
