This Is The Consideration Of The Semarang District Court Sentenced By Father Of Obscene Step-daughter Sentenced To 16 Years In Imprisonment And A Fine Of Rp. 1 Billion
SEMARANG - The Semarang District Court, Central Java, sentenced a father with the initials RD to 16 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, who was proven to have molested his stepdaughter.
The verdict that was read out by Chief Justice Emanuel Ari Budiharjo at the trial in Semarang, Wednesday, July 16, was the same as that demanded by the public prosecutor.
"Declaring that the defendant is proven guilty of violating Article 76 E in conjunction with Article 82 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, as a subsidiary indictment," he said in court.
In his consideration, the judge said that the defendant's actions had damaged the future of the victim with the initials A.
In addition, he continued, the victim, who is the defendant's stepdaughter, should be protected and not suffer the actions that he finally experienced.
The judge in his consideration also ruled out the existence of a peace agreement between the defendant and the victim's biological mother related to the immoral act that occurred.
The judge considered that the letter should be set aside because the case has entered the trial process.
In addition to the corporal punishment, based on the Antara report, the Semarang District Court Judge also imposed a fine of Rp. 1 billion which if not paid it would be replaced with 6 months in prison.
Based on this decision, the judge gave the opportunity to the prosecutor and the defendant to file further legal remedies.
