Unmitigated, BLACKPINK Will Release A New Album And World Tour In August 2022

JAKARTA - After a long hiatus, BLACKPINK is confirmed to be back with a number of musical activities. YG Entertainment as an agency announced this news to the public.

Today, Wednesday, July 6, a YG Entertainment representative shared the news that the members were finishing the recording process for BLACKPINK's album. Then they will shoot a music video this month.

"Many music projects have been completed by BLACKPINK in quite a long time," a YG Entertainment representative quoted YTN as saying.

The agency also announced BLACKPINK will be taking another world tour to celebrate the release of a new album. But this promotion will not stop there.

"To continue BLACKPINK's emotional relationship with fans around the world, they will be going on a world tour in K-pop group history until the end of the year along with their comeback," they explained.

"Besides, big projects will continue," he concluded.

It is not known whether they will release a full album or an EP considering this release ends their hiatus for one year and 10 months.

BLACKPINK last released THE ALBUM in 2020 with the main tracks How You Like That and Lovesick Girls. This album sold more than one million copies and made them the most successful group.

In the same year, BLACKPINK released the documentary Light Up The Sky and held an online concert titled THE SHOW.
