ICW Considers Lili Pintauli To Have Bad Intentions And Disrespect The KPK Board Of Supervisors
JAKARTA - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) assessed that the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Lili Pintauli Siregar did not respect the KPK Supervisory Board.
Not only that, he was considered to have bad intentions because he was not present at the ethics trial regarding the alleged receipt of accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP.
ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana said that Lili's departure from participating in the second round of the 2022 Anti Corruption Working Group (ACWG) in Nusa Dua, Bali could actually be represented by other leaders. He should have carried out an ethics session that had been informed by the KPK Supervisory Board.
"ICW considers that the absence of sister Lili Pintauli from the initial trial of the alleged violation of the code of ethics at the KPK Supervisory Board shows the bad faith of the person concerned and the attitude of not respecting the institutions of the KPK Supervisory Board," Kurnia said in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, July 6.
Not only Lili, KPK Chair Firli Bahuri was also considered to have no respect for the trial. Because, Kurnia assessed, Lili's departure to the ACWG event was based on the approval of the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK.
"Brother Firli occupies the highest position in the anti-corruption agency and is most likely the party that approved of Sister Lili attending the forum in Bali. This indicates that she also does not consider the Supervisory Board institutional as an important entity in the KPK," he said.
So, ICW considered, the KPK Supervisory Board should give a warning to the leaders. So that, in the future, Firli Bahuri et al will not try to hinder the ethical trial process that Lili has to undergo.
"ICW recommends that the Supervisory Board strongly rebuke the KPK leadership so that they can be cooperative and not try to hinder the process of the code of ethics trial," said Kurnia.
It was previously reported that Lili Pintauli was supposed to undergo an ethics trial for allegedly receiving accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP on Tuesday, July 5. However, he was not present because he participated in ACWG activities in Nusa Dua, Bali.
Furthermore, the KPK Supervisory Board postponed the trial until Monday, July 11.
Lili was again reported to the KPK Council for allegedly receiving hotel accommodation facilities and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP race at the Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from PT Pertamina (Persero).
In dealing with the alleged receipt, the KPK has collected materials and information from related parties, including the state-owned company. President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati has also been examined some time ago and provided additional information in writing.
Not only that, the KPK Council has also asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
