Cross-country Runner From Jakarta Who Disappeared On Mount Arjuno, Malang, Found Safe
MALANG - A Mantra Summit cross-country runner from Jakarta, Yurbianto (46) who was reported missing on Mount Arjuno, Malang Regency, East Java, since July 3, was found safe.
Head of the Grand Forest Park (Tahura) Raden Soerjo, Ahmad Wahyudi said Yurbianto was found safe in the Sriti Bulk area, in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency.
"The survivors have been found in a safe condition at approximately 21.00 WIB, in good condition," said Wahyudi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 5.
Wahyudi explained that the condition of the survivor was found to be cold because he did not wear proper clothes to be in a mountainous area. However, the condition of the cross-country runner is generally in a stable condition.
According to him, currently the rescue team who found the survivors are still trying to evacuate the residents of North Jakarta.
The process of evacuating the survivors is estimated to take approximately three hours to get to the Lawang post.
"His condition is cold, but generally stable. Currently an evacuation is being carried out, about three hours," he said.
Previously, a Mantra Summit cross-country runner from Jakarta, named Yurbianto, was reported missing in the Mount Arjuno area, Wonorejo Village, Lawang District, Malang Regency, East Java, on July 3.
Yurbianto was supposed to report to the Gombes Post after coming from the top of Mount Arjuno on Sunday (3/7). However, until approximately 19.00 WIB local time, the survivors did not report on the post in question. A total of 95 personnel were deployed to search for the whereabouts of the survivors.
It was reported that the survivor sent the coordinates of the location to a family member on July 5, 2022, at approximately 12.00 WIB.
It is estimated that the position of the survivors is in the Sriti Bulk, based on the coordinates sent via the WhatsApp messaging application. Survivors are found at those sent coordinates.
